This land of mythical beauty with rising mountain peaks from all around and crystal clear rivers flowing through them with gigantic glaciers of ice will just take your breath away. District Leh of Jammu and Kashmir is situated roughly between 32 to 36 degree north Latitude and 75 to 80 degree East longitude and altitude ranging from 2300 meters to 5000 meters above sea level. District Leh with an area of 45100 Square kms. makes it one of the largest Districts in the country.

The natural beauty at Leh is the reflection of its snow covered peaks, crystal clear rivers and lakes and the fresh air that can rejuvenate even the lost souls. Due to harsh weather conditions visiting Leh can be difficult for some but for the travelers who are ready to explore the nature beyond the comfort of their homes, it is the real treat for the mind as well as the soul. There are a number of jeep safaris that can be taken to explore the Leh district and its adjoining places.
