The expansive desert city of Jaisalmer is the perfect place for visitors to take a trip to, to experience the beauty of the sand and sun. Glistening globules of sand that lay all around the periphery make this enchanting city and its enthralling history the most entertaining weekend getaway of all.
Being a world heritage site “The Golden City” has a tremendous Rajputana influence and is decorated with a magnificent fort, palaces and monuments, some decorated in yellowish-gold sandstone and the popularly known Gadsisar Lake that give it an almost ornate appeal.
This old princely state has so much to offer from a corporate touristy outlook as well as from an adventure seekers perspective, like visiting the many museums there or the Desert National Park and the 3 day Desert Festival during the winter months are priceless. The Thar Desert engulfs this oasis like location and unfolds a voyage like none other to enrich one’s mind, body and soul.
