Snorkeling

Humans have been crossing various water bodies for exploring and to have fun, but snorkeling is one of the activities that are done in order to explore the beauty of life under water. Snorkeling is a practice in which a swimmer swims on or through a water body. The main attractions of this adventurous activity is to lie with face down on the water surface and to watch the water life in action for extended periods of time. Various reefs and various lakes are being snorkeled by adventurous people around the world and are considered to be a very soothing as well as peace inculcating activity. The base of snorkeling can be traced back to 5000 years as evidences of it can be found in literature by Aristotle. It can only be imagined why it was done 5000 years ago but today it is done for mere adventure to explore the nature at its best. The basic equipments that are required for snorkeling include a face mask, snorkel (a shaped pipe for breathing), fins and a wet suit for cooler waters. The snorkel remains above water surface so that proper supply of oxygen is obtained while admiring the beautiful reefs or water beds. It is said that the life beneath the water is amazingly beautiful and is untouched by the human hands of destruction. Hence, for admiring such vast treasure of beauty, one must try snorkeling. The only thing required for this recreational activity is the capability to swim and zeal to explore.
